About Me
I began my mascot career in High School it quickly became something I was very passionate about. I then went to Troy University to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Leadership and continue my career as a mascot. While at Troy, I was able to learn and develop skills that I believe make me a valuable candidate for a variety of positions.

In my Major, I was able to learn and grow as a student, reporter, and anchor. While I gained knowledge in the classroom, I was also able to gain experience through TrojanVision. This is a daily News Production done on campus that is run by students. I was very fortunate to have this as it is not offered at most Universities. The on-campus studio features a lot of technology that you would see in a professional News Studio.

I also learned a lot from my Leadership Minor. The classes taught me a lot about myself and further developed my interpersonal skills. I also learned tactics and skills necessary for effective and ethical leadership.

While at Troy I was heavily involved in the mascot program and that claimed a lot of my time. However, I did not let that deter me from finding ways to get involved and put my skills to use. As a head mascot, I was able to put my leadership skills to practical use in leading a team and further developing the character of T-Roy, and growing the mascot program. I was also able to apply knowledge from my major by starting "TSPN" and "The Voice Unheard." TSPN is a weekly Instagram show that runs in the Fall, primarily focused on the football season. The Voice Unheard is a blog that tells what the mascot is up to and how he feels about fun topics and FAQs.
My passion in life is service and bringing joy to other people. Therefore, I have found that mascot is the perfect avenue for me to do just that! Since starting my college mascot career, I have also had the opportunity to perform as four other characters, which has also helped me further develop the necessary skills for success both in and out of suit.

I currently work for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. I am the Mascot and Entertainment Manager and I am the lead Nutzy performer for games and appearances, and I manage a team of part-time performers to assist in the execution of the appearance schedule for both Nutzy and Nutasha. I also oversee the scheduling and fulfillment of over 200 mascot appearances a year. Here I have gotten to coordinate in-game skits with the production, promo, and digital media teams, design and manufacture props and costumes. I also learned to stitch and sew, which has helped me tremendously with the upkeep of the other character's suits like Flingo and the five Mixed Nut costumes. I also assist with the planning and implementing of our school assembly programming and oversee a trade deal to get our mascots a go cart to use!
